Can you judge a book by its cover?
That’s what students on the Wheeler Programme were tasked with when they visited Wellington College this week.
The Year 9 class played The Reading Game, devised by library staff at the college, which saw them talking about books, assessing the blurb on the back and the cover images and choosing their favourites.
The group also took a Chemistry class where they made slime and bouncy balls, enjoyed badminton in the sports hall and visited the boarding houses they will stay in on their residential course.
The 24 students came from 16 state schools in the area including The Holt, Emmbrook and Bulmershe.
