Students keen on applying to Oxbridge can attend an online advice session hosted by the Wellington College Learning Alliance.
The session, which is open to all students whose schools are in the Wellington College Student Alliance, will be hosted by Dr Ruth Lexton, Oxbridge co-ordinator at Wellington, and her colleague Mr David Rea.
They will focus on Next Steps (upcoming deadline, how to make your Personal Statement stand out, selecting written word as examples to include in the UCAS application).
The event on Tuesday 23 September is one of a series of Oxbridge support events offered to schools in the Wellington College Student Alliance. Other events include online sessions on super curricular (how important it is in supporting a student’s university application), personal statements, and interviews.
Last year, more than 50 students from state schools were also given Oxbridge interview practice with staff at Wellington College, with teachers covering 20 different subjects, conducting 47 interviews online and then giving verbal or written feedback to help the students prepare for the real thing.
